Netflix has entered the holiday season with a new slate of original movies. First up is Meet Me Next Christmas, a holiday romance starring Christina Milian. Layla (Milian) is a dreamer who wants to meet the perfect man. After a canceled flight, Layla heads to the lounge, where she meets the charming James (Kofi Siriboe). The meet cute leads to a deal: next Christmas, they are to reconnect at a Pentatonix concert, and if they’re single, their relationship is meant to be.

Fast-forward to Christmas Eve, and Layla doesn’t have a ticket. She enlists the help of a concierge named Teddy (Devale Ellis) to accompany her on her pursuit of a ticket. Layla forms a connection with Teddy, complicating her feelings. In the end, she must choose one man to be her present under the tree.
